Site update and some news

Hey all! Last weekend was an amazing time at Florida Anime Experience. #floridaanimeexperience The cosplayers, the patrons of artist alley, the organizers, and the live Kendo demonstrations were all freaking awesome! I had an incredible time there and got the opportunity to meet some great people. My table neighbor, Courtney, was an amazingly talented woman who made some great butt buttons and commissioned an awesome Bass sketch from me for her room mate. <3 Courtney! Also, my good friend Bohdan (owner, publisher, and writer of Resistance Entertainment's titles) was with me on saturday and he and I managed to turn a regular con day into an amazing fiesta! complete with whiskey and fun times!

Did I forget to mention there was some amazing cosplay at this convention? Well, there was. (see image at left) Whenever I wasn't with my head down drawing or saying hi to all the lovely folks there that passed in front of my table I was definitely asking cosplayers to stop so I can take pictures of their cosplay.

There were a ton of notable costumes at the show but by far, the most notable, was this Gundam costume made by a fan! He spent close to 4K on it and let me just say...it shows!! It had working lights and it even made hydraulic sounds when moving! It weighed a nifty bit and as a result when he walked by you even got an awesome, weighty, Clomp, clomp, clomp effect on the floor that vibrated with ever step. Was awesome! he and his wife/girlfriend both came with setups and this particular suit even had built in fans to help him stay cool inside.

His wife informed me that her getup, however, did not have fans. Way to cheap out on that dude. Lady before comfort man!

On to other news, I have quite a few appearances lined up in the coming months. Most notably I will be at Tampa Bay Comic con and then afterwards Creator Owned Expo. I am also hoping to score a table at wizard world Ft. Lauderdale but we shall see on that.

I will add more photos from the con at the end of this post so check those out.

Commission Status:

Currently I am open for commission work if any are interested. I love doing them at cons but at the con I can only get so detailed due to time constraints. At home I can get really detailed and take my time to give you an amazing piece of work for your wall or folder whatever. My prices are reasonable and shipping is always included in the price. Not extra.

I will soon be opening up a patreon account and anyone who supports me through there will get tons of free goodies. Including weekly desktop wallpapers, random art, tutorial videos, and a webcomic I have been working on for a year now. All these things will be available for free to everyone through here on this site, but my patrons get them two weeks before anyone else. And some stuff, like the webcomic, may end up being exclusive after the first 15 pages are released.

I will post more on the comic and videos I am making soon. Gotta get back to work now. Later all!
